Mental Health Conference 2018: 1.30 – 5.30 pm, 20th Oct (Sat), 2018 at Kingsley International School, Putra Heights Subang

“Some 4.2 million Malaysians are suffering from some form of mental health issues, said Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad. By 2020, mental illness is expected to be the second biggest health problem affecting Malaysians after heart disease.

According to the latest National Health and Morbidity Survey, every three in 10 adults aged 16 years and above in Malaysia suffer from some form of mental health issues.

More people are expected to experience increased stress due to work and family pressure. Survey done by experts on the prevalence of depression among Malaysians showed a 50% increase in the number of depressed patients from 2011 to 2015.”
